Specie comune nel Salento, le dimensioni che molto spesso sono davvero di pochi millimetri ne limitano o impediscono l'osservazione in natura. Elemento caratteristico e distintivo di questa specie è la fascia giallina su fondo biancastro che attraversa i rinofori e prosegue tra i cerata.
