Specie decisamente comune lungo il versante ionico della penisola Salentina. Difficile da vedere in immersione per via delle piccole dimensioni che variano da 3 a 20 mm massimo, in rari casi. E' una specie piuttosto mobile così nei casi in cui l'esemplare di muove su poriferi o alghe rosse è più probabile individuarla. Abbiamo indicato S. Maria al Bagno come località tipica in quanto è certamente la località in cui abbiamo individuato il maggior numero di esemplari.

Definitely common species along the Ionian side of the Salento peninsula. Difficult to see underwater due to the small size ranging from 3 to 20 mm maximum, in rare cases. It is a rather mobile species so in cases where the specimen moves on porifera or red algae it is more likely to detect it. We have indicated S. Maria al Bagno as a typical locality as it is certainly the locality in which we have identified the greatest number of specimens
